Enter The Horde

You have been attacked by a zombie and now you only have 6 minutes to live. Help is on the way but you cannot afford to take many more bites. Fight and collect xp to defend yourself against the growing number of enemies. Survive for five minutes and find the ladder to escape the horde.

The Infection Grows

Taking damage only spreads the infection further. A number under your infection bar displays how quickly it is filling and your run ends once it is full. At its regular speed the bar fills in six minutes and while you only need to live for five, the time lost by any damage taken only snowballs as time goes on. You have access to some upgrades to help buy some more time, but every second you spend healing is one where the horde only multiplies.

Build an Arsenal

Among your resources to heal are a number of weapons and augments to help defend yourself against the horde. A pool of fifteen total upgrades present themselves to you three at a time when you level up but you can only pick one. Medicines and first aid keep your infection bar down but they don't add to you defenses. Chainsaws, explosives, and turrets all prove essential to your survival as they carve cavities into the horde and buy you space to maneuver but they are for nothing if you can't make it to the ladder. As time goes on, levelling up only gets harder so knowing which upgrades to use and which to save is the key to escaping.
